American Puppet Theater is excited to announce the creation of our exciting new Youth Puppeteer Company! This company offers a unique opportunity for students to become a real puppeteer!  Affiliated with select partner schools Youth Puppet Company members will have the opportunity to: 

Create puppets

Develop characters

Collaboratively design and create a set and props 

Collaboratively design and create a giant parade puppet

Perform a real puppet show for an audience

Also...

Advanced young artists will be invited to act as a Director in Training (DIT). The DIT program gives older students with an interest in theater the opportunity to

create theatrical blocking, direct performers, perform advanced shows, and earn a small honorarium for their work.
